Hey Guys its fazil here and we'll have a sneak peak into the dell inspiron 15 5000 laptops which is a line of affordable high spec laptop from dell. The 5000 series laptops comes in a variety of combinations of features and the one i picked was the core i7 full hd touch screen version with 500 GB of HDD and an 8 GB RAM.As windows 10 has came up i've decided to go with the touchscreen as the os is designed really well to be used i touch mode too.If it was just for my college run , the one with the core i5 processor would be fine for me but video rendering and all those processes require a high end performance.for gaming performance we have an AMD radeon processor and the Intel HD graphics 5500,which comes with the Fifth Gen Intel processor so you will be able to play all those fancy high graphics games..there is no optical drive.even if there was one i would replace that with an SSD so that it'll go faster. This is not a gaming laptop but most of the high end games like call of duty ,GTA 5 and league of legends works fine.
Looking from the design stand point we have a nice brushed aluminium over the top that looks great and keeps off fingerprints .The Aluminium cover also makes it sturdy and prevent it from flexing. Everything else of the chassis is plastic but look nice and tough.the keyboard is back-lit and key spacing is a little bit more than usual but will be fine if you get used to it.The trackpad is big enough with a smooth finish and gives out an good response. The entire base has kind of a Matt finish which looks great and don't leave smudges on them. The formfactor is a great with a thickness of 22mm at the edge and slopes down to the other end.The hing design looks similar to that of a MacBooks and the air vents are hidden under the hinges.(Nice touch dell!!).
The 5548 comes with a full HD Touchscreen But sadly its not an IPS panel and you wont get that fancy viewing angle that you find on usual computers. The dispay is great for indoor usage but if you are takin it outdoors you will have to stick with the full brightness. The colurs are true and contrast is fine.
Right above the screen you'll have a RealSense Webcam which still doesn't give a shit on quality.
Coming around the right side we have an Ethernet port ,an HDMI port ,Two USB 3.0 ports and a headphone jack...
on the left side we have a charging port ,sdcard slot and a USB 2.0 port, and a security lock slot.
thats all with the io.
The Fan only kicks in when working with full performance and its audible but c'mon ,for the price..you gotta sacrifice something.
On a normal use like web browsing ,videos and all those things ,You'll get about 4 hours of battery life.
